Noka Real Estate (hereinafter “the Company”) has established the following personal information protection policy in strict accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and ordinances, regarding the protection and management of personal information collected in the course of the Company’s real estate business and other services.

1. When the Company collects personal information, the Company shall clearly state the purpose of collecting personal information within the scope of the Company’s business, shall collect it using means that are both legal and legitimate, and shall not use personal information for any purpose other than the original intended purpose. The Company shall also take measures to ensure this.

2. When collecting, using, or providing personal information, the Company shall, as a general rule, explain to the customer the purpose or use, the extent of provision, etc., either in writing or verbally, or shall provide such information through a public notice.

3. The Company shall endeavor to ensure that personal information possessed by the Company is correct and up to date, to the extent necessary to accomplish the intended purpose of this information.

4. In the event that the Company entrusts part or all of work involving the handling of personal information to a third party, the Company shall first establish a contract with the third party regarding the protection of personal information, and shall exercise necessary and proper supervision.

5. Unless the customer has provided consent, the Company shall not disclose personal information to a third party other than a company to whom work has been entrusted. However, under the following circumstances, the Company may disclose customers’ personal information:
(1) when disclosure is required by law;
(2) when disclosure is deemed necessary in order to protect human life and limb or to protect property, and the Company is unable to acquire consent from the customer in question; or
(3) when deemed necessary in order to protect the rights, property, services, etc. of the customer, the Company, or Company employees.

6. In the course of handling personal information, the Company shall take all necessary and appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or damage to any information, while ensuring and improving information security.

7. The Company shall maintain respect for individuals’ rights, and in the event that a customer requests disclosure, correction, or deletion of his or her information, or refuses provision of his or her information, the Company shall provide a rapid response to this request, within reason.

8. The Company shall endeavor to provide employees with educational activities regarding the protection of personal information, shall enhance the information safety management system, and shall work toward continual improvement of the personal information protection and management system.

The Company has established a point of contact, shown below, for inquiries, complaints, etc. regarding personal information. The Company shall strive to promptly respond with integrity to any questions or complaints.
